Justin Wiegel, O.D.
Co-Founder

Dr. Weigel, a 2007 Illinois College of Optometry graduate, co-founded and grew Insight Vision Center from a cold-start practice into a 5-location brand across Kansas City over 10 years—experiencing both independent and corporate optometry—and is now co-founder of Eyecare Republic, supporting other independent practitioners on their own growth journeys.

Neal Troyer, O.D.
Co-Founder

Dr. Troyer brings specialized expertise in pediatrics and ocular disease from his 2007 Illinois College of Optometry training, having co-founded and grown Insight Vision Center into a thriving 5-location practice across Kansas City. His extensive experience in both corporate and independent optometry settings, along with his successful collaboration with Dr. Weigel, has led them to co-found Eyecare Republic.

Rita Shallin
Director of Business Development

Rita brings two decades of sales and marketing experience across multiple industries, with eight years specializing in the optometric alliance space at IDOC, where she excelled as a top sales leader and trusted advisor to hundreds of eyecare professionals, helping them achieve their practice goals. She now leads as Director of Business Development for Eyecare Republic.
